Our Campaign

The campaign to legalise and regulate vaping launched in 2017. Our purpose is to engage with State, Territory and Federal decisionmakers and educate them about the benefits of legalised vaping.

In January 2018, we launched Vape Force One – a van with seven volunteers. Starting in Sydney, Vape Force One visited 28 towns throughout Nnew South Wales, Queensland and Victoria before arriving in Canberra to present a petition to the parliament calling for the legalisation and regulation of vaping in Australia. Receiving support from members of all sides of parliament Vape Force One was met by Federal parliamentarians Tim Wilson MP, Senator Cory Bernardi, Senator David Leyonhjelm and Senator James Paterson.

We are advocating for sensible regulation of vaping across the nation, including providing evidence to state inquires, and engaging with media outlets, academics and think tanks. We have put submissions forward to inquiries in Western Australia, Northern Territory and the Commonwealth.

Key industry supporters include the Australian Tobacco Harm Reduction Association (ATHRA) and of course vape retailers right across the country.

Our community of supporters continues to grow. We now have over 10,000 newsletter subscribers, over 16,000 Facebook followers, and over 4,000 Twitter followers. Thousands of people have signed petitions online and on the street. We continue to be interviewed with news outlets – for online, in print, on radio, and on TV – helping bring our message to hundreds of thousands of Australians.

More people than ever know how valuable vaping is as a harm-reduction tool, and are standing behind legalisation, both in parliament and in the media.

Legalise Vaping Australia is committed to campaigning for the regulation and legalisation of smoke-free products.  Take action by sending an email to your MP now!
