Another voice calls for legalisation
Today, the Australasian Association of Convenience Stores (AACS) came out in support for vaping to be legalised, slamming the government for its ‘hypocritical’ stance on the sale of legal tobacco products.
AACS CEO Jeff Rogut said, “It beggars belief that our government considers its current framework to be appropriate”. Mr Rogut goes on to suggest that with the government’s current position on vaping and tobacco products, Australia will continue to “slip behind progressive nations like New Zealand” while Australians will “be denied a safer alternative that could improve their health.”
It’s good to see another voice calling out the government for denying Australians a choice they can make to improve their health.
